...Do Fears Of Dishonest Exporters
Hold You Back?

We started up as freshwater aquarium hobbyists who
spend substantial amounts of time with our hobby. Being fortunate
to be in a country where most freshwater species originated, we
were able to study and experiment with this hobby rather easily
and inexpensively.
Jeda aquarium was formed due to an incident that
change our hobbies into a full exporting business. A friend of
ours who lived in Hawaii complained to us via e-mail how expensive
it was to import fish from that area. This didn't come as a surprise
since many of these fish were being imported from South East Asia
(SEA) - and a large portion from Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.
To help our friend out, we tried doing some research on exporters from SEA. We were looking for key qualities such as product quality and reasonable price and service. The result we found was extremely discouraging.
Most of the exporters make the buying process extremely difficult for their customers. They do not accept credit cards, do not have clear customer oriented policies and are just difficult to do business with. Many of them even suspect us of espionage since the competition is extremely tough. And by being careful to the extreme, we found it very hard even to ask for price lists and shipping costs. For these reasons customer service is severely compromised to keep competitors away.
Many are also active in fraudulent acts - if you import tropical fish from various exporters regularly, you'll know what we mean. We see them happening all the time.
Then our Hawaiian friend (name withheld due to privacy reasons) gave us a suggestion that rendered light bulbs in our heads.
"Why don't YOU start your own exporting business
and give what importers really want?" And you guess it, here
we are.
Our company policies have always been very clear
from the start. We are fully customer oriented and we are always
in the process of improving our customer support and product quality.
We welcome and appreciate ALL feedbacks, good and bad, so that
we can use the valuable information to improve how we can keep
YOU happy and satisfied.
It is here that we would like to lighten your worry about frauds - it is a fact that we worry as much as you do. Recently there has been many fraud cases where we are extremely taken advantage of. If you were in our shoes, you would have been amused at the incredible numbers of deceitful acts - they try all the time! In order to continue our business without too much losses, we have to take some measures involving filtering insincere customers from honest ones.
Some of these implementations may create some inconveniences for you (our new customers), however we hope to prove to you that we're always thinking on how to make you feel more comfortable doing business with us.
